History
The first European contact was in 1810, when the Spanish were ordered to attack the Sunan Indians. In 1835, General Vallejo of Mexico won the Indian chief Sem Yeto, but he was very generous, so he allied with Vallejo when there was a dispute with other races. In 1837, Indian chief Sorano obtained a Mexican land patent for Rancho Sassoon. The patent finally fell into the hands of Captain Clipper, from Connecticut, Robert H. Waterman. In 1856, Waterman not only divided the town, but also managed to manage the business, and transferred the county office located in Venice in 1858. For this invitation, 16 acres (64,000 meters²) were allowed to be used as a site for building Guncho. Fair Field established a city system in 1903.
